Malaysia’s first ever World Heritage Site, Mount Kinabalu, sits on a 6,200-acre land at 2,272 feet above sea level. It is surrounded by the world’s oldest rainforest of about 130 million years. The jagged granite peaks of Mt. Kinabalu (4095m) towers above one of the most biologically diverse areas in the world. The montane oak-chestnut forest at park headquarters gives way to lowland diptetocarp forest at Poring on the eastern boundry. Trek through the rainforest and witness life in the treetops as you walk along 100ft Canopy Walkway. Take a journey to Poring Hotspring and go for the Canopy Walk, guided nature trails or soak in the hot mineral water bath.
